Not only should the individuals working within a group or company have their own individual set of ethics, but there should be a common agreed to set for the company. Sometimes an individual could “hide behind the company” (hiding behind the veil of corporate identity) when conducting themselves.

1. Requirements
CJ International will conduct its business fairly, impartially, in an ethical and proper manner, in accordance with the company’s values and Code of Conduct, and in full compliance with all laws and regulations. In the course of conducting company business, integrity must underlie all company relationships, including those with customers, suppliers, and communities and among employees. The highest standards of ethical business conduct and compliance are required of CJ International employees in performance of their company responsibilities. Employees must not engage in conduct or activity that may raise questions as to the company’s honesty, impartiality, or reputation or otherwise cause embarrassment to the company. Conduct that is prohibited under the company’s policy or does not comply with laws and regulations may not be accomplished on an employee’s behalf by anyone outside the company.

2. Responsibilities
All employees must sign and abide by the Code of Conduct, which requires that they understand the code, and ask questions, seek guidance, report suspected violations, and express concerns regarding compliance with this policy and the related procedures.

Code of Conduct
The company’s Code of Conduct outlines expected behaviour for all CJ International’s employees.

Employees will ensure that:
• Conflict of interest :-
They do not engage in any activity that might create a conflict of interest for the company or for themselves individually.
• Position:- They do not take advantage of their CJ International position to seek personal gain through the inappropriate use of CJ International or non-public information or abuse of their position.
• Information:- They will follow all restrictions on use and disclosure of information. This includes following all requirements for protecting CJ International information and ensuring that non-CJ International proprietary information is used and disclosed only as authorized by the owner of the information or as otherwise permitted by law.
• Fairness:- They observe that fair dealing is the foundation for all of our transactions and interactions.
• Protect:- They will protect all company, customer and supplier assets and use them only for appropriate company approved activities.
• Without exception:- They will comply with all applicable laws, rules and regulations.
• Conduct:- They will promptly report any illegal or unethical conduct to management or other appropriate authorities.
• Respect:- They will respect fellow employees, business partners, customers and suppliers while showing willingness to solicit their opinions and value their feedback.
• Honesty:- They will communicate honestly with in the company and with business partners, suppliers and customers, while at the same time protect the company’s confidential information and trade secrets.
• Responsibility:- They will take responsibility for their words and actions.

Every employee has the responsibility to ask questions, seek guidance and report suspected violations of this Code of Conduct. Retaliation against employees who come forward to raise genuine concerns will not be tolerated.
