Take Highway 1 over Auckland Bridge, and carry on for approximately 25Km North, to the Silverdale off ramp (Exit 398) and at the roundabout, take the "Twin Coasts Discovery" route to Whangaparaoa (this is labeled Hibiscus Coast Hwy on the map below, but not signposted as such).
Continue 2.6 Km from the off ramp roundabout and take a right turn towards Whangaparaoa.
Continue only 0.7 Km along Whangaparaoa Road, just passed Tawhana Cres, and on your left hand side you will see a metal railing that extends only for about 100 meters or so....
The entrance to an access road is just after the railing, at the bottom of the dip....
You need to turn sharp left into the access road, i.e. going back in the direction the way you came for only 20 meters or so. We are #86, which is actually right in the dip. Note, the access road does not have a name!
